Santiago de Compostela surrenders to the wines of the D.O. Monterrei
The city of Santiago de Compostela, has witnessed the latest promotional activity of the Denomination of Origin Monterrei, which have been present professionals channel HORECA and distribution sector.
The Wine Tunnel of the D.O. Monterrei has had the participation of distributors such as Dysbodesa, Antonio de La Morena, JBcao or M&D Galaika; as well as representatives of the sector of the Horeca channel by the hand of A Vaquiña, O Ferro, Bodeguilla de Santa Marta, San Lázaro, Mesón A Brasa, Mesón de Lázaro, Comovino Vinoteca and Asador Gonzaba. Without forgetting media such as Global Media, students of the IES Compostela or the winemaker Ignacio Orriols, among others. All of them have received information on soil and climate characteristics, grape varieties, wine typologies or importance of viticulture in the history and economy of the area.
Likewise, participants in this initiative of the D.O. Monterrei have been able to taste the reds and whites of the following wineries: Ladairo, Pazos del Rey, Gargalo, Castro de Lobarzán, Crego e Monaguillo, Quinta do Buble, Terras do Cigarrón, Triay Adegas de Oímbra, Pazo Blanco Núñez (Tapias Mariñán), Fragas do Lecer, Manuel Guerra Justo (Vía Arxéntea), Abeledos, Pazo de Valdeconde, Tabú, Franco Basalo, Alba Al-Bar (Daniel Fernández), Trasdovento, Fausto Rivero Pardo (Quinta Soutullo), Manuel Vázquez Losada and Manuel Regueiro García.
This initiative concludes the cycle of promotional actions carried out by the denomination for 2022, and has already allowed Monterrei wines to travel to cities in the country such as Alicante, Valencia, Barcelona, San Sebastián, Bilbao, Santander, Oviedo, To Coruña, Ourense or Vigo. “We are very satisfied with the promotional calendar developed this year, which has focused mainly on our main sales and consumer markets, according to the Nielsen data”, acknowledges the president of the C.R.D.O. Monterrei, Lara Da Silva. “Each of these initiatives is a new opportunity to retain consumers, attract new prescribers and open marketing avenues to our wineries”, concludes.
