Tomorrow, September 1, the harvest season begins in the territory protected under the Designation of Origin Monterrei.
The first winery to start collecting grapes, in 2022, will be Castro de Lobarzán located in Villaza (Monterrei).
About the D.O Monterrei
Monterrei is one of the five Galician wine designations of origin. It covers the municipalities of Verín, Monterrei, Vilardevós, Riós, Oímbra and Castrelo do Val. It is made up of 28 wineries. The vineyards of this D.O occupy a total of 657 hectares of territory in which 365 winegrowers work.
