Monterrei wines will be present at the Barcelona Wine Week, which is held between 04 and 06 April. This is the first time that the white and red wines of the denomination are promoted in this wine forum, in which 600 wineries are expected to participate and the visit of nearly 20,000 professionals.
The D.O. Monterrei will have its own stand, in which all/ as the ones who approach will receive information about the history and wine tradition of the area, soil and climatic characteristics, grape varieties or type of wine, among other issues. In addition, the following wineries may be tasted in situ: Ladairo, Pazos del Rey, Gargalo, Castro de Lobarzán, José Antonio Da Silva (Vinos Lara), Crego e Monaguillo, Terras do Cigarrón, Triay Adegas de Oímbra, Terrae Monterrei (Adegas Terrae), Pazo Blanco Núñez (Tapias Mariñán), Fragas do Lecer, Manuel Guerra Justo (Vía Arxéntea), Alba Al-Bar (Daniel Fernández), Trasdovento, Fausto Rivero Pardo (Quinta Soutullo) and Manuel Vázquez Losada.
With the attendance to this fair, the D.O. Monterrei intends to influence the professional sector, “since it gathered in the last edition, held in February 2020, 15,600 professionals, 13% of them from 54 countries, and it was attended by more than 1,000 domestic and 300 international buyers,” says the president of C.R.D.O. Monterrei, Lara Da Silva. “Therefore the presence in this fair will strengthen our brand image, it will be an important platform to show our wines to the professional sector, as well as promote new marketing channels for the wineries of the denomination”, concludes.
