The Monterrei Designation of Origin participates in the event “Vinos y Viños. Tegueste y Galicia se encuentran”

The Monterrei Designation of Origin has joined the initiative “Vinos y Viños. Tegueste y Galicia se encuentran”, promoted by the city hall of Villa de Tegueste and Asociación Vitivinícola de Tegueste (AVITE).

This initiative, part of the Farmers’ Market, sought to showcase the excellence of Monterrei products, as well as those of local wineries and the designations of origin of Abona, Valle de Güímar, the four remaining Galician designations, and Traditional Spirits and Liqueurs of Galicia.

This event, which was attended by staff from the Regulatory Council in addition to the Monterrei wines, allowed for the sharing of knowledge and experiences between territories with their own wine-growing identity, while also contributing to the revitalisation of the local economy and the promotion of products from the agri-food sector.

The event was supported by the Gobierno de Canarias, through Instituto Canario de Calidad Agroalimentaria (ICCA) and GMR Canarias, through Volcanic Xperience.
