The D.O. Monterrei presents its wines in Gijón, with great success of critics and public

The C.R.D.O. Monterrei arrives in Gijón to make known the whites and reds of 22 registered in the entity.
It will be through a showroom that will be held this Tuesday, September 23, from 17 to 21 hours, in the Colegiata San Juan Bautista. This event is a unique opportunity to discover the history and wine tradition of the denomination, as well as showing information about grape varieties, wine typology or soil and climate characteristics, you can taste more than 40 references of Monterrei.
The wineries that will be part of this initiative are: Ladairo, Pazo das Tapias, Gargalo, Castro de Lobarzán, José Luis Gómez Ibáñez (Valderello), José Antonio Da Silva Pereira (Vinos Lara), José Luis Mateo García (Quinta da Muradella), Crego e Monaguillo, Minius, Terras do Cigarrón, Triay, Pazo Blanco Núñez (Tapias Mariñán), Fragas do Lecer, Vía Arxéntea, Abeledos, Pazo de Valdeconde, Tabú, Alba Al-Bar (Daniel Fernández), Fausto Rivero (Quinta Soutullo), Manuel Vázquez Losada, Alejandro Ramón Blanco Dijkhoff (Ramón Bigotes) and Terra de Godello.
“This promotional initiative will bring to the Asturian public the product that is made in Monterrei, from monovarietals of Mencía or Godello, without forgetting coupages of Godello with Treixadura or Albariño,” says the president of the entity, Manuel Vázquez Losada. This activity is part of the cycle of initiatives carried out for this 2025, and has already taken the wines of the denomination to cities such as Madrid, Valencia, Ciudad Real, Barcelona or A Coruña, among others.
