10/04/2026The Monterrei Designation of Origin (C.R.D.O.) is holding a contest to select the poster for the “19th Monterrei Wine Fair,” which will take place on August 7, 8, and 9 in Verín.
This contest is open to designers, painters, and artists, who may submit a maximum of two unpublished works. The standard format will be 43 x 63 cm (portrait orientation), and the work may be created using any pictorial, digital, or photographic technique.
A single prize of 600.00 euros will be awarded to the winning poster, which will be selected by a jury composed of individuals from the art and design worlds, as well as the Chair of the Regulatory Council or members of the plenary session to whom the Chair delegates authority, and the Mayor of Verín and/or individuals to whom the Mayor delegates authority. Posters submitted to the contest must be sent electronically as high-resolution .jpg or .png files (minimum 300 dpi) to the email address infocrdomonterrei@gmail.com or may be delivered in person to the headquarters of the C.R.D.O. Monterrei (Rúa Castelao, 10 Baixo, Verín). The deadline for submission is 12:00 p.m. on May 10, 2026.
RULES FOR THE “19TH MONTERREI WINE FAIR” POSTER CONTEST
ELIGIBILITY:
Open to designers, painters, and artists, each of whom may submit a maximum of 2 works, provided they are unpublished.
FORMAT:
The original must be 43 x 63 cm in size, always in portrait orientation (proportional formats will not be accepted).
SUBMISSION AND DELIVERY:
Posters must be submitted electronically as high-resolution .jpg or .png files (minimum 300 dpi) to the email address infocrdomonterrei@gmail.com
If any participant wishes to submit their work in non-digital format, they may do so at the following address:

In addition to the submitted image, the documentation must include the participant’s first and last names, address, phone number, and a brief curriculum vitae.
The deadline for submission is May 10, 2026, at 12:00 p.m.

TECHNIQUE:
Entries may be created using any painting, digital, or photographic technique.
Computer-designed posters must have a resolution of 300 dpi, with the size specified in the rules.
If selected as the winner, the author must provide the corresponding digital file in vector format to include the organizers’ logos.
AWARDS:
A single prize of €600.00 will be awarded.
The winning poster will be unveiled during the first half of June.
The winning entry will become the property of the C.R.D.O. Monterrei.
Entries that do not win a prize may be picked up at the C.R.D.O. headquarters during the month following the announcement of the results.
JURY:
The jury will be composed of individuals from the art and design worlds, as well as the Chair of the Regulatory Council or members of the plenary session to whom the Chair delegates authority, and the Mayor of Verín and/or individuals to whom the Mayor delegates authority. They will make an initial selection of works from among all the posters received by the deadline. These posters will proceed to a second round, from which the winner will be chosen.
REPRODUCTION:
The organizing entity may produce as many reproductions of the winning poster as necessary and disseminate it through the advertising channels it deems appropriate, without the author being entitled to assert any rights in this regard. Likewise, the organizing entity reserves the right to make any modifications to the winning poster, provided that such modifications do not constitute a substantial alteration of the work and the author grants permission for such changes.

Participation in this contest implies full acceptance of these rules.
