D.O. Monterrei returns to Barcelona Wine Week

Monterrei wines will be present again at the Barcelona Wine Week, which is held between 06 and 08 February. This is the second time that the white and red wines of the denomination are promoted in this wine forum, in which 828 wineries and 70 quality seals are expected to participate.

The D.O. Monterrei will have its own stand, in which all the/ as approach will receive information about the history and wine tradition of the area, soil and climatic characteristics, grape varieties or type of wine, among other issues. In addition, the following wineries may be tasted in situ: Ladairo, Pazo das Tapias, Gargalo, Crego e Monaguillo, Quinta do Buble, Terras do Cigarrón, Terrae Monterrei  (Adegas Terrae),  Pazo Blanco Núñez (Tapias Mariñán), Fragas do Lecer, Tabú, Franco Basalo, Alba Al-Bar (Daniel Fernández), Trasdovento and Fausto Rivero Pardo (Quinta Soutullo).

With the attendance to this fair, the D.O. Monterrei intends to influence the professional sector, “since the last edition had the visit of more than 18,000 professionals, 20% from 79 countries, mainly European and American”, highlights the president of C.R.D.O. Monterrei, Lara Da Silva. “For this reason, the participation of the denomination will help to promote new marketing and distribution channels for our wineries, in addition to strengthening our brand image in the national and international market”, concludes.
