The Regulatory Council, within its program of promotional actions for press specialized in this annuity, has just carried out the visit of nine prescribers to the wine territory of Monterrei.
In the last two days, Alberto Luis Luchini Solano (magazine 7 Cannibals), Andrés Proensa Aguado (director Planeta Vino / Guía Proensa), Manuel Moraga Ruiz (RNE. A wine country), Ana Serrano Cuenda (Bodeboca), Alberto Matos Jorge (director Vivir el Vino), Sara Jiménez Adánez (Wine Markets), Antonio Candelas López Villalta (director Mivino y Guía del Vino Cotidiano), Enrique Calduch Carretero (journalist El Español and collaborator in specialized media) and Mª Ángeles Sánchez Vicente (journalist The Objective and specialized media) have participated in various activities related to wine and viticulture.
Among them is the visit to five wineries of the denomination (Daniel Fernández, Terras do Cigarrón, Gargalo, Triay and Ladairo), the rock press Xan Preto or the castle of Monterrei, among other issues. In the wineries they have been able to know the vineyards, facilities, and the different elaborations that are made in them.
“Attendees have discovered, firsthand, the history and wine tradition of the area, soil and climate characteristics, wine typologies, in addition to the work of the five wineries participating in this promotional initiative,” says the president of the entity, Jonatás Gago. “It is the second familiarization trip that we make in this year, and it will not be the last, since it allows us to teach, in a complete way, the process that goes from the vine to the bottle, to present the terroir, our varieties, and of course, the work done by our winemakers and winemakers”.
