The C.R.D.O. Monterrei has ratified this morning its status as a permanent collaborator of Expourense, which will allow you to be present at all promotional actions, fairs and events organized by the venue for this year. The signing of this agreement was made by the president of the Regulatory Council, Lara da Silva, and the managing director of the Expourense Foundation, Rogelio Martínez. The D.O. Monterrei has been collaborating with the Foundation since 2015. This implies the participation of Monterrei in the various promotional actions that Expourense carries out throughout the year, especially in Portugal, in favour of the different cross-border cooperation agreements that the Foundation has with different entities of the Euroregion.
This special collaboration for 2021 counts with the participation in two of the reference salons of Expourense: Xantar and Ourense VINIS TERRAE. The C.R.D.O. Monterrei, which has 27 wineries, will be present at the next hybrid edition of Ourense VINIS TERRAE, Salón del Vino y Licores Gallegos de Calidad, held on June 14 and 15, consolidating itself as an international event for the wineries of our community that contributes to position Galician wines in the foreign market.
Likewise, the participation will be repeated in Xantar, International Exhibition of Gastronomic Tourism, which will take place between 3 and 7 November. This Regulatory Council will participate in the Wine Tunnel, an area in which visitors are introduced to the quality and native Galician varieties. In addition, the wines of Monterrei will combine dishes made with quality products from Galicia, within the showcookings of Xantar, and will be part of a tasting commented.
With the signing of the agreement, both agencies will also be able to develop commercial missions aimed at the promotion of wines, both in national territory and abroad.
Rogelio Martinez has expressed his satisfaction with the signing of the agreement, which shows that many entities in the province trust the fairgrounds to publicize their products and services. For his part, Lara da Silva has affirmed that Expourense is a good showcase to enhance the brand image of the D.O. Monterrei, and to publicize the wines that are produced in the territory both in the national and international market.
