Xantar and the XXIX Festa da Castaña e do Cogomelo de Riós, next stops for the D.O. Monterrei

Over the next few days, D.O. Monterrei will be present at two provincial gastronomic events: 25th International Tourism Xantar and XXIX Festa da Castaña e do Cogomelo de Riós.

The first of these, Xantar, will take place from 24 to 27 October at the fair grounds of Expourense. In this case, and with the aim of promoting the wine region and reinforcing the brand image, wines from the designation will match dishes made with quality products from Galicia in the showcookings of Xantar. Likewise, the following wineries will participate in the initiative of the Wine Tunnel: Ladairo, Gargalo, Crego e Monaguillo, Terras do Cigarrón, Tabú, Alba Al-Bar (Daniel Fernández), Trasdovento and Alejandro Ramón Blanco Dijkhoff.

The second gastronomic initiative will be the XXIX Festa da Castaña e do Cogomelo de Riós, on November 3, and in which the Consello Regulador will have its own stand to offer information about the area, soil characteristics and climate, or wine typology, among others. In addition, people who approach this space can taste the product produced under the name.

Also, the wines of Monterrei will be present in the popular meal organized for this celebration. In this case will participate the wineries: Ladairo, Gargalo, Crego e Monaguillo, Quinta do Buble, Terras do Cigarrón, Triay Adegas de Oímbra, Pazo Blanco Núñez (Tapias Mariñán), Fragas do Lecer, Vía Arxéntea, Pazo de Valdeconde, Tabú, Alba Al-Bar (Daniel Fernández), Trasdovento, Fausto Rivero Pardo (Quinta Soutullo), Manuel Vázquez Losada, Manuel Regueiro García (Serra de Alén) and Alejandro Ramón Blanco Dijkhoff.
