The Monterrei Designation of Origin will once again be present at the Prowein fair, which will take place from 16 to 18 March in the German city of Düsseldorf.
In this edition will participate 35 wines (20 white and 15 red) belonging to 18 wineries registered in the denomination. The wineries attending Prowein will be: Trasdovento, Minius, Pazo das Tapias, Ladairo, Pazo de Valdeconde, Tabú, Alba Al-Bar, Vía Arxéntea, Crego e Monaguillo, Fragas do Lecer, Franco Basalo, Gargalo, José Antonio Da Silva Pereira (Vinos Lara), Manuel Regueiro García (Serra de Alén), Pazo Blanco Núñez (Tapias Mariñán), Quinta do Buble, Terras do Cigarrón and Triay Adegas de Oímbra.
It is the sixth time that C.R.D.O. Monterrei is part of this wine fair, which last year had more than 47,000 registered professional visitors from 135 countries and 5,400 exhibitors. It will be presented under the Axencia Galega da Calidade Alimentaria (AGACAL), together with the other Galician wine designations, and under the format of Túnel de Vino will be presented not only the red and white wines participating but also the viticultural territory, its soil and climate characteristics or the type of grapes or wines, among other issues.
“Prowein is a key event in the trade fair calendar of the denomination, as it brings together the sector of distribution, import-export, horeca or retail,” says the president of C.R.D.O. Monterrei, Manuel Vázquez Losada. “Our participation not only strengthens the brand image, but also our commitment to Germany, one of the main international markets for Monterrei wines,” he concludes.
