The Monterrei Designation of Origin continues with its calendar of promotional actions for this year, with the last one being held in Palma de Mallorca.
Over two intense days, the Regulatory Council has promoted four complementary activities to show the Mallorcan public the uniqueness of the wine territory, grape varieties, soils, climate and, of course, the wines that are made in it. More than two hundred people have participated in some of them, aimed at the sector of sommelier, distribution, media, oenophiles, as well as teachers and students of the School of Hospitality of the Balearic Islands.
This is the first promotional action promoting the designation on this island, and aims not only to position the Monterrei brand within the wine sector, creating a unique value for the professional and consumer, but also help the wineries to open up new marketing channels for their products.
On this occasion, the wineries Ladairo, Pazo das Tapias, José Luis Gómez Ibáñez (Valderello), José Antonio Da Silva Pereira (Vinos Lara), José Luis Mateo García (Quinta da Muradella), Crego e Monaguillo, Quinta do Buble, Terras do Cigarrón, Triay, Pazo Blanco Núñez (Tapias Mariñán), Fragas do Lecer, Vía Arxéntea, Pazo de Valdeconde, Tabú, Franco Basalo, Alba Al-Bar (Daniel Fernández), Trasdovento, Fausto Rivero Pardo (Quinta Soutullo), Manuel Vázquez Losada, Manuel Regueiro García (Serra do Alén) and Terra de Godello.
“The promotion of this initiative has allowed us to show the name to a significant number of prescribers, and follows the line of the entity in consolidating existing markets and laying the foundations for opening new ones”, says the president of C.R.D.O. Monterrei, Manuel Vázquez Losada.
