The reds and whites of Monterrei will have their own space in the 22nd edition of the International Exhibition of Gastronomic Tourism Xantar, which will be held from 03 to 07 November in Expourense.
The D.O. Monterrei will once again take advantage of this gastronomic event, the only International Gastronomic Tourism Fair accredited by the Government of Spain, to reinforce the brand image, as well as promote the product that is produced in the territory. All with the aim of reaching out to the different sectors participating in this forum as a channel for catering and hospitality, distribution, hospitality schools or specialized press, among others.
In the initiative of the Tunnel of the Wine will participate, on the part of the D.O. Monterrei, the following wineries: Terras do Cigarrón, Ladairo, Pazo das Tapias, Fragas do Lecer, Tabú, Trasdovento and Gargalo. Likewise, the wines of the D.O. Monterrei will be present pairing dishes made with quality products from Galicia in the showcookings of Xantar.
Also within the framework of the actions promoted in Xantar, and within the XVI International Meeting on Healthy and Sustainable Gastronomy, a wine tasting will take place in Monterrei. The same will be given by the technical director of the D.O., Luis Miguel López Núñez, next Friday November 5 at 14 hours. “Xantar is a priority showcase to present our wines, not only in commented tastings but through the presence of our wineries in the Wine Tunnel, which allows to show the work done, day after day, by our wine sector and strengthen our commitment to differentiated quality, “said the president of the C.R.D.O. Monterrei, Lara Da Silva.
